Weekend Roundup 4-6th June

Joe Tillen got on the score sheet in his first league start of the season as Fram emerged victorious at Selfoss, winning 2-1. Sam Tillen also played in his usual defensive roll. Fram are currently 3rd in Úrvalsdeild.

Colorado Rapids beat Columbus Crew 1-0. Andy Iro returned to starting line up for the Crew, playing an unfamiliar role at right back.  Gary Smith’s side are 3rd in the Western Conference after the win and Columbus are still top of the Eastern Conference on goal difference.

TPS lost 4-1 to Mariehamn where Robert Milsom was sent off for two bookable offences. Chris Cleaver also played, taking part in the full 90 minutes. TPS slip to 9th in Veikkausliiga after eight games.

Kansas City Wizards played out a 0-0 stalemate with Toronto FC. Craig Rocastle was sent off for two bookable offences on 57 minutes after Nick Garcia had been sent off for Toronto in the first half. Both Ryan Smith and Korede Aiyegbusi played a part for Kansas City. Kansas City are now 6th in the Eastern Conference.

LA Galaxy beat Houston Dynamo 4-1. Los Angeles stay at the summit of the Western Conference.

IBV won 2-1 at Grindavik with Matt Garner and James Hurst playing full matches. IBV are 5th in Úrvalsdeild.

Ben Amos was not in the Molde squad as they drew 3-3 with Lillestrøm, a side that are currently being managed by former Blackburn Rovers and Manchester United defender Henning Berg. Lillestrøm were 3-0 down until injury time where they scored three goals in five minutes. Molde stay 12th in Tippeligaen.
