Ins & Outs of the EFA Index

To begin with Craig Short is out of the EFA Index as he left Ferencváros and became the new manager of Notts County. We would like to wish Craig all the best in the upcoming season and congratulate him on the 7th place finish he achieved with FTC in the Hungarian NB I last season.

Portsmouth youngster James Hurst has joined Matt Garner at Icelandic side ÍBV on loan. It is still unsure of the exact details of the loan, it is expect to be until the end of June but that isn’t confirmed. If anyone has any details please leave a comment below. Read the rest of this entry »





Craig Short takes charge at Notts County

Craig Short has been announced as the new manager of League One side Notts County. Short had been manager of Hungarian side Ferencváros before being appointed the successor to Steve Cotterill.

The move represents a return to Meadow Lane as Craig played for the midlands club in the early stages of his playing career. He made 128 league appearances in three years for the Magpies before moving to Derby for £2.5 million in 1992.

Notts County go into League One as current champions of League Two but have financial troubles to deal with after the fallout of the Munto Finance reign as owners.

MLS Move Delayed For Rodgers

Luke Rodgers is still struggling to obtain a Visa to allow him to work in the United States and join the New York Red Bulls.

It had previously been expected from all the sound bites the NY management and coaching staff had been giving that Luke’s move was just a matter of days away from completion.

However yesterday Red Bulls boss Hans Backe gave the first indication that things might take longer than that to allow Rodgers to feature in the MLS. Read the rest of this entry »





Update – Luke Rodgers’ Move to New York

After New York Red Bulls 2-1 win last night over FC Dallas, General Manager Erik Soler was on MSG.com post game show and commented on how Luke Rodgers proposed move to the MLS and more particularly the Big Apple was progressing.

Luke’s move has been delayed over the last ten days because of difficulties in obtaining an American visa due to his criminal record. However, Soler now believes the transfer is finally coming close to completion. Read the rest of this entry »
